This work includes designing/updating data collection tools, reviewing and validating data submissions, leading kick-off meetings, conducting analysis, developing rate models, drafting memos, delivering results to senior leadership at other state agencies, and supporting promulgation of rate regulations by drafting/editing regulations and attending public hearings.  In addition, the Health Policy Analyst will perform financial and statistical analysis of costs, service utilization, and other data sources; drive improvements in and enhancements to current internal work processes; keep projects on track and facilitate coordination between CHIA, MassHealth, and other Executive Office of Health and Human Services agencies; and regularly engage with stakeholders in the Commonwealth’s health care industry.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Health Services Pricing, the Analyst will:

  • Serve as a subject matter resource to support a variety of financial and analytic projects across the unit and agency;
  • Communicate with health care providers while developing, deploying, and collecting CHIA cost reports;
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and training sessions with health care providers (physician organizations, Home Health Agencies, etc.) and other state agencies (the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Department of Public Health, Department of Transitional Assistance, etc.);
  • Support the unit’s commitment to improving analytic approaches by identifying best practices;
  • Participate in cross-unit workgroups to enhance data management and analysis approaches;

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
